Scope

International congress organized by Universidad de los Andes and 17 national universities belonging to the National Network of Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering, organized in conjunction with IEEE Colombia and the colombian chapters IEEE EMBS and CAS. With the involvement of academia, industry and the hospital sector.

Selected articles will be submitted for inclusion to the IEEE Xplore Digital Library.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR AUTHORS

We invite you to present papers on the topics listed above and other areas related to practical aspects or related topics with Biomedical Engineering and Bioengineering. The works must clearly indicate objectives, methodology, results (or status) and conclusions.

Authors have the option of submitting papers in format A (abstract) or in format B (article). This according to the intention of the authors to present in poster or oral presentation format, respectively.

Your work must meet the format requirements. Articles that do not meet the format requirements will not be submitted to reviewers.

Format A (summary or abstract)

Abstracts can be submitted in Spanish or English. The length of your work should not exceed one page and should contain between 300-600 words. Full format instructions are in the following template: Template A.

Guidelines for the presentation during the Congress:

All poster presentations must have a maximum duration of 5 minutes. We recommend you to follow a standard presentation format (i.e., PowerPoint or similar slides) with the main aspects of your work. The first slide must include:

      • At least the title and the number of the work.
      •  The list of authors.
      •  The contact e-mail of the presenting author.

We also encourage you to include the Congress logo in your slides

Formato B (long work)

Articles must be submitted in English. Prepare your work in PDF format. The length of your work should be between three and four pages, with an abstract of between 100 and 300 words. The article must include at least the following sections: title, complete list of authors, affiliation of the authors and at least one email address of the author (s), abstract, keywords, introduction, materials and methods, results, conclusions and bibliography.

All oral presentations must have a maximum duration of 15 minutes, divided into 10 minutes of presentation and 5 minutes of questions from the public. We recommend you to follow a standard presentation format (i.e., PowerPoint or similar slides) with the main aspects of your work. The first slide must include:

      • At least the title and the number of the work.
      •  The list of authors.
      •  The contact e-mail of the presenting author.

We also encourage you to include the Congress logo in your slides.

Upon submitting the paper, you will receive a submission confirmation. After the acceptance process, each job will be assigned a number and informed about it.
